Dr. Wantanee Suntikul is an experienced educator and researcher with nearly two decades of international experience in hospitality and tourism education. She holds a PhD in Tourism Management and an MSc in Tourism Marketing from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom.
Prior to her current appointment, Dr. Suntikul served as a Visiting Associate Professor and Program Director at the University of Cincinnati, Clermont College, where she contributed to hospitality curriculum and program development, and experiential learning opportunities. She previously held academic positions at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Macau University of Tourism, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervising graduate research, and contributing to research and academic service.
Her research interests include sustainable hospitality & tourism, cultural heritage management, gastronomy, visitor experiences, events & festivals, and the social and political dimensions of tourism. Her work has been published in leading journals, including Tourism Management, Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing, and International Journal of Tourism Research. She has also edited several scholarly books and contributed chapters to international academic publications.
Dr. Suntikul serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Tourism Culture & Communication and has been an invited speaker at international conferences and tourism forums worldwide. Her teaching emphasizes connecting academic knowledge with real-world industry applications and international perspectives.
