Big name, big future.
Our department is receiving incredible support from leaders across the hospitality and tourism industries, and nowhere is this more apparent than in our recent renaming to the Arch H. Aplin III ’80 Department of Hospitality, Hotel Management and Tourism. In our teaching we prioritize experiential learning about how people form connections with one another and with the surrounding places and spaces.
We are ideally situated to expand our scientifically-based approach to creating enhanced hospitality experiences in one of the most dynamic and friendly places on earth – Texas.
Our team is incredibly appreciative of Mr. Beaver Aplin’s generous gift to name our department and thrilled about what lies ahead for the spectacular Aplin Center, set to open in 2028.
