The Arch H. Aplin III ’80 Department of Hospitality, Hotel Management and Tourism (HMGT) offers two 18-credit-hour minors that provide students with valuable knowledge and skills applicable to a wide range of careers in hospitality, tourism, and service industries. These minors complement a variety of academic majors and help students develop expertise in one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing industries.

Recreation Management (RMGT)

Tourism Management (TMGT)
Course selections under each minor are for the newest Texas A&M catalog. We will honor all course options on the new minors; adjustments (substitutions) may need to be submitted.
Eligibility
We do not have an application, deadlines, or a cap on eligibility hours. As long as you are a current undergraduate student at Texas A&M University you are eligible to pursue our minors. Declaration of minor is made in the student’s home college or major department. Some colleges and departments outside our department may not permit their students to declare a minor.
Satisfactory Completion of Courses
To be awarded a minor and receive transcript recognition, students must obtain a grade of “C” or better in each course used in the degree.
