Before joining Texas A&M, Dr. Chang served as Associate Dean in the School of Tourism and Hotel Management at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. She also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management at Iowa State University. Her educational background includes a Ph.D. in hospitality administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and an MS in hospitality management from the University of Houston.
Dr. Chang’s industry experience spans food and beverage management, as well as SPA and recreation management. Her research interests lie in organizational behavior issues within the hospitality industry, with a focus on topics like employee motivation, leadership, and the use of technology to enhance service quality. She has also successfully secured research funding, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Liaoning Province Development and Reform Commission. Dr. Chang’s contributions to academia and industry reflect her dedication to advancing knowledge and improving the hospitality sector.
