Professional Summary
Dr. Donna Lee Sullins has been an Instructional Assistant Professor in the department of Hospitality, Hotel Management and Tourism at Texas A&M University since January of 2020. Her teaching focuses on high impact learning activities for students enrolled in the Professional Event Management Certificate. Prior to her current faculty role, she spent over a decade implementing events for college students in varied student affairs roles: as the Primary Advisor to Fish Camp at Texas A&M and conducting fundraising activities across the United States. Donna Lee also taught leadership classes to the Corps of Cadets. She has led or co-led five study abroad experiences to England, France, Switzerland, and Germany in 2016, to Italy in 2019, to the World Cup in Qatar in 2022, to Switzerland in 2023, and to Scotland in 2024. She serves her department as faculty advisor to the National Association of Catering and Events student organization, as a member of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, and previously on the Curriculum Revision Workgroup. She was elected to serve on the University Honor Council and invited to serve on the Transformational Teaching and Learning Conference Steering Committee. She is certified as a Festival and Event Associate through the International Festivals & Events Association. Sullins has been awarded the Dean’s Outstanding Achievement Award for Educational Enrichment and Innovation (2022) and for Early Career Teaching (2024).
