Undergraduate Scholarship Application

We are pleased that you are interested in applying for a department undergraduate scholarship!  Your candidacy speaks highly of your academic success and commitment.  Generous donors who have created the scholarships did so with the intention of supporting outstanding students like you! Undergraduate scholarships available are listed below.

Scholarships are available to current HMGT majors who will be full-time students (at least 12 TAMU credits) for the Fall semester of the academic year for which the award is made. Students who will be doing their 6-credit HMGT 484 Internship during the Fall semester are also eligible. Students who have not yet completed one semester at Texas A&M University (and therefore do not yet have a GPA on record) will not be considered for scholarships. The GPA is one aspect of the selection process, but the thank-you letter, resume and application are also important. The winners will have the full scholarship amount posted to their accounts in the fall term only.

To Apply:

Complete the Qualtrics provided by the HMGT Program Coordinator II, [email protected].

Scholarship recipients are encouraged to write a thank you letter to express their appreciation to the donors. The department can assist by providing the contact information of the scholarship providers. You may wish to review Scholarship Thank you Letter Examples.

Note that submission of an application signals that if you are a scholarship recipient you will do the following:

  • Attend the department’s Recognition Banquet to receive your award in person if at all possible.
  • Assist with the Program Coordinator II on finalizing your application packet for forwarding to the donor if you are chosen to receive a scholarship.
